As a Caregiver youll provide personalized care and support to a small group of residents (typically 1012) helping with daily activities companionship and emotional support. Youll be a vital part of their day ensuring they feel safe valued and cared for.

Responsibilities

Check each resident routinely to ensure that their personal care needs are being met in accordance with their wishes and care plan.

Review task sheets daily to determine if changes in the resident daily care routine have been made in the care plan.

Inform the Director of Nursing of any changes in the residents condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the residents care plan. Immediately report all accidents and incidents you observe. Report all complaints and grievances made by the resident.

Assist the resident with daily needs including preparation for activity and social programs and transporting residents to/from appointments.

Ensure that the residents rooms are ready for receiving and makes their guests comfortable.

Assist resident with any necessary hygiene activities. This may include but not limited to daily cleaning and bathing dressing/undressing nail care helping residents to the bathroom or offering bedpans keeping incontinent residents clean and dry and helping residents brush their teeth.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Valid CPR/First aid card
Fingerprinting Clearance Card
1 year experience preferred
