Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School is accepting applications for on-call substitute teachers to work on an as-needed basis throughout the 2025-2026 school year.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Substitutes work on an on-call as-needed per diem basis. Substitutes may be asked to cover for teachers who have pre-planned absences e.g. personal days or professional development as well as for those who have unanticipated last-minute sick days. Substitutes use an online absence management system to identify and sign up for the assignments they would like. Substitutes can choose assignments in both academic classrooms and vocational/ technical programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 22 years of age or older 21 years of age or older if a graduate of a teacher preparation program.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Maturity dependability and adaptability.
- Genuine interest in working with adolescent students in a vibrant multicultural school community.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Prior teaching experience and/or a Massachusetts teaching license (preferred but not required).
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
COMPENSATION:
Days 1 - 5 - Unlicensed - $110.63 & Certified - $142.42
Days 6 - 30 - Unlicensed - $173.01 & Certified - $203.63
