This position will help with the daily operations and preventative maintenance at the Wedell-Williams Aviation & Cypress Sawmill Museum.
The Louisiana State Museums collections and educational programs stimulate awareness and appreciation of our states rich and diverse history and culture.
The dual focus of this museum site highlights two very distinctand compellingaspects of Louisianas rich history.
The Wedell-Williams Aviation Collection highlights the legacy of Louisiana aviation pioneers Jimmie Wedell and Harry P. Williams who formed an air service together in 1928 in Patterson. The Cypress Sawmill Collection documents the history of the cypress lumber industry in Louisiana.
One year of experience or training in the building construction trades building maintenance maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Six semester hours in construction management construction technology or engineering or any combination of these courses.

Appointment Type:This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE limited to 1245 working hours in a 12 month period. **Starting Hourly Pay varies depending on experience.**
Work Schedule:The Wedell-Williams Aviation & Cypress Sawmill Museum is open to the public 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM on Tuesday-Saturday; this position may be required to work weekends and/or holidays.How To Apply:
