Your Role: Own the Challenge
- Lead and collaborateon financial reporting business planning budgeting and forecasting including the creation of related documents and presentations.
- Ensure compliancewith Accounting Policy Internal Controls and Assurance standards maintaining audit trails and documentation for future audits and reviews.
- Review and validateincome and expenditure classifications general accounting practices and adherence to ABB procedures budgets and policies.
- Analyze and reconcilegeneral ledger accounts verify transactions and journal entries and prepare schedules variance analyses and management reports.
- Support period-end activities including account reconciliations journal entries inventory and balance analyses and assist with cost accounting and special projects.
- Manage inventory processes including daily cycle counts excess and obsolete inventory and collaborate with facility counters.
- Administer capital projectsfrom creation to disposal and oversee intercompany reconciliations.
- Perform financial analysis modeling and scenario planning focused on profitability costing variances inventory and productivity while driving automation and process optimization.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or business is highly preferred.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in a cost accounting or factory financial analyst role.
- Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software including (SAP Oracle or related financial systems).
- Cost accounting experience required.
- English language skill(s) and proficiency. Frenchis. EnglishisalsotocommunicatewithcustomersoutsideQuebecon aregularbasis.
- Strong Microsoft EXCEL skills and demonstrate proficiency with other Microsoft Office products (BI Tableau etc).
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in Canada.
