Job Summary: Perform inspections and tests of raw and finished goods to ensure that quality standards are being met throughout the manufacturing process as well as all other duties as assigned. Primary Responsibilities: - Dimensional inspection of raw and finished goods.
- GD & T for both imperial and metric standards
- NDT of primarily ferrous materials.
- Make accept or reject decisions.
- Communicate defects and problems using existing ISO procedures and forms.
- Communicating with customers and vendors.
- Participate in problem identification and corrective action.
- Perform document reviews.
- Authorize parts for shipment.
- Coordinate and maintain the calibration of measuring equipment.
Qualifications and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Gear experience preferred but not required.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with co-workers customers and vendors.
- NDT experience (MPI UT and HARNESS TESTING) preferred but not required.
- Must be fluent in the use of all handheld measuring devices and techniques. Such as OD ID mics calipers height stands disk mics depth mics calipers etc.
- Knowledge of GMM or CMM machines is definitely a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and the ability to maintain compliance.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Basic computer skills.
