Job Description The Evening/Weekend Supervisor will provide general reference and circulation assistance during evening and weekend hours and supervise the nightly closing of the library. The Evening/Weekend Supervisor will be responsible for the circulation activities in the evenings enforcing library policies assisting students with library resources closing the library and supervising student workers. The Evening/Weekend Supervisor will assist in other library projects as needed. This person will be required to work weekday evenings and weekends during Fall and Spring semesters.
Essential Functions: - Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia Colleges vision mission and values and contributes to the development of the Stafford Library Department.
- Practice superior customer service.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Display respect and civility to all constituencies in all communications.
- Attend work timely and on a regular basis during the established hours of operation; work additional hours as business necessitates.
- Perform general reference and circulation assistance.
- Responsible for general library supervision and closing during evenings worked.
- Assist with special projects as needed.

Required Core Competencies and Professional Experience:
- Ability to fluently read write and understand the English language.
- Proficiency with the following but not limited to: active listening; speaking; writing; critical thinking; judgment and decision making; monitoring; reading comprehension; time management; coordination; and management of personnel resources.
- Proficiency for using a variety of computer and technology-related software and equipment including Microsoft Office products and database systems.
- Proficiency in using web-based technologies including database systems.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with or without direct supervision.
