Responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
GENERAL DUTIES
- Supervise employees to meet the organizations expectations for productivity quality and goal accomplishment.
- Balance quality productivity cost safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
- Hands-on assistance completing work orders.
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
- Maintains the tool matrix.
- Generates programming and process documentation.
- Coordinate CNC Machine service parts and repairs as required.
- Create and maintain a thorough Preventative Maintenance program for all CNCs.
- Maintain back-up copies of part documentation.
- Serves as lead machinist and support for department vacancies.
- Responsible for all aspects of personnel training skilled machine operator and general labor on CNCs to fully understand the equipment they are running all safety aspects programming and VSRs quality procedures.
- Coordinate with the parts room with to successfully fill work orders for shipment.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelors Degree and/or related operations experience; or equivalent combination of education and related operations experience is required.
- Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated proficiency performing similar duties/ responsibilities.
- Experience with manual and CNC (Swiss-type lathe) equipment required.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including solid interpersonal skills.
- MUST PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK DRUG SCREEN AND CREDIT CHECK.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand walk and lift for up to 8 hours daily.
- Vision abilities requires close distance color peripheral and depth
- Required to lift push pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. continually.
- May be required to stoop bend kneel crouch or crawl.
- Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.
