Job Description

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Head Baseball Coach the Coordinator of Baseball Operations is responsible for the comprehensive coordination and execution of all non-coaching aspects of the NCAA Division I Baseball program. This position serves as the central point of contact for administrative operations ensuring effective planning organization and communication across team logistics travel compliance video and data analytics equipment and budget support. The role works closely with departmental units to enhance the student-athlete experience uphold institutional and NCAA standards and contribute to program visibility efficiency and growth through strategic revenue-generating initiatives and external engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all administrative functions for baseball program supporting the head coach through efficient management of operations logistics compliance and team services.
  • Responsible for all aspects of team travel including booking flights buses hotels team meals transportation logistics practice facilities and managing per diem distribution and reconciliation of expenditures.
  • Responsible for managing the video and data analytics system to support scouting performance analysis and game preparation.
  • Responsible for facilitating the ordering distribution and organization of all baseball team apparel and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Athletics Development Office to identify fundraising opportunities and support donor engagement strategies specific to the baseball program.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of baseball and a comprehensive understanding of team operations including budget management and administrative processes. They will demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to independently resolve complex issues. A working knowledge of National NCAA and Conference rules and regulations along with university policies and athletic professional standards is essential for making informed recommendations. The candidate must have strong analytical and organizational skills to prioritize and complete operational tasks within time and budget constraints. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities are key to producing clear documentation and fostering collaboration with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience in providing lead work direction to student managers proficiency in relevant computer applications and the ability to work cooperatively with coaches staff faculty students and community members are also critical. A demonstrated commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds while maintaining a professional demeanor rounds out the profile of the ideal candidate.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies procedures and guidelines including but not limited to safety civility information security and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the universitys commitment to a vision of excellence.

Education and Experience

Equivalent to three years of administrative support experience required.

Collegiate baseball experience preferred.

Physical Summary

  • Light work - Job involves some lifting of medium weight objects (10-20 pounds) and/or 10% - 20% of the job involves standing or walking.

Licenses / Certificates

A valid CA drivers license required.

Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on university business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3680 - $5417 per month.

1.0 time-base 40 hours per week.
