Job Description
Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Join our team as a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at a brand new state-of-the-art 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery located in Belmont North Carolina. This facility is part of CaroMont Regional Medical Center which is set to open in late 2024 and is poised to deliver top-tier care to approximately 600 newborns each year. Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily rounds on newborns in-house.
- Attend deliveries upon request.
- Take call from home following the rounding shifts.
- Stabilize manage and facilitate the transport of newborns needing higher-level care to adjacent NICUs.
- Collaborate with a team of 4 NNPs and additional staff at a nearby Level III NICU.
- Participate in supplemental PRN shifts at the Level III NICU if desired.
- Provide compassionate care in a nurturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing is required.
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification as a Board Certified NNP.
- Minimum of 2 years of employment experience as an NNP (not including RN experience).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
License and Certification Requirements:
- NC license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA must be obtained prior to start.
- Must hold active Board Certification as an NNP (no FNP PNP or other NP certifications accepted).
