Exciting Opportunity for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Belmont NC

Join a dynamic team at a brand new 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery set to open in late 2024 at a leading medical center in Belmont NC. As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to newborns in a facility that has been recognized among the top 100 hospitals by Thomson Reuters. Located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte this position offers a unique blend of professional challenge and lifestyle advantages.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct daily rounding on newborns in-house and provide on-call support from home.
Attend deliveries as needed and provide immediate care to newborns.
Stabilize and manage newborns requiring higher-level care facilitating transport to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia.
Work as part of a team consisting of 4 NNPs with support from a Level III NICU staffed by neonatologists and additional NNPs.
Engage in continuing education and possible supplemental shifts at the Level III NICU as desired.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP (no other NP certifications accepted).
A minimum of 2 years of employment experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (not including RN experience).
Ability to obtain an NC license if not already licensed.
DEA certification to be obtained prior to start date.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

NC state license (or willingness to obtain).
Current Board Certified NNP designation.
DEA certification (mandatory before start).
