Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of this position is to set-up and operate a variety of manual and automatic Centerless grinders and Roll-Thread machines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review router for part processing
- Locate and identify materials to be processed
- Process part as indicated per routing sheet and work instructions
- Ensure proper machine set-up to ensure optimal stock removal rates and quality
- Use set-up sheets to ensure proper set-up
- Update and document set-up sheet information as required
- Maintain or improve upon production standards
- Verify specifications by performing in-process inspections or testing
- Complete routing paperwork
- Move product to next operation
- Train or support other operators in proper machine set-up techniques
- Report production time accurately and timely
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Maintain quality standards
- Follow the safety rules
- Other duties as assigned
EQUIPMENT USED:
Forklift overhead crane CNC Lathes Mills and other manual and programmable machines CMM comparator micrometers dial gages calipers and various machining tools (drills taps) etc.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required
- Forklift Truck training and certificate preferred
Experience:
- 1 year operating a machine
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Ability to operate forklift truck
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal directions
- Attention to detail

$19.00-$23.75
