Job Description

Job Opportunity: Physician - Non-Invasive Cardiologist in Coos Bay OR

Join a dedicated team at a 127-bed Level III Trauma facility the largest hospital on the Southern Coast of Oregon. With a commitment to providing exceptional care this practice offers a collaborative and supportive environment perfect for a Non-Invasive Cardiologist looking to grow in a thriving community. Youll be part of an expanding cardiology service line serving a diverse patient base in a location known for its stunning coastal views and welcoming atmosphere.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Clinic rotation: Monday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm with shared call for Echo readings on weekends.
  • Provide comprehensive evaluation and management services in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • Interpret EKG Echocardiography Cardiac Nuclear Imaging and stress tests.
  • Perform trans-esophageal echocardiography (TEE) and Holter/event monitor reviews.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient care standards.
  • Educate patients and families on health treatments and community resources.
  • Document all patient care activities within the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in physicians meetings and assist in policy formation as needed.
  • Maintain current licenses and credentialing requirements.
  • Engage in professional development and stay current with continuing medical education.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology (Non-Invasive).
  • Fellowship-trained in Cardiology.
  • Clean malpractice history is essential.
  • Strong preference for candidates who are Nuclear and Echo certified.
  • Ability to demonstrate ties to Oregon (family or residency prior to application).

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Must hold an active Oregon medical license or be willing to obtain one.
  • DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start).
  • Copy of the NPDB self-query report is required.
