Job Description

This associate researcher roleis needed to help set up and run experiments in the lab of Morwaread Farbood at MARL.

We are looking for someone methodical and organized to set up and run in-person music cognition experiments. The research assistant would be in charge of the technical set up for experiments and then conducting them at either 35 W. 4th St. or 370 Jay St.

This position isFully On-Site: The job duties for this position are highly local in nature and requireonsitepresence to be performed.

The position will not include any supervisory responsibilities.

In compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act the hourly salary range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. The employee who takes on this role can expect to work 5 hours per week with flexibility.



Experience in running behavioral experiments; experience with statistical analysis of data is helpful but not required.

Progress is evaluated weekly with in-person or Zoom meetings between the RA and professor.
