Temporary 1:1 Teacher Aide

Are you passionate about working with young children and making a meaningful impact every day Join our team at The Starting Place a preschool in Hudson NY as a Temporary 1:1 Teacher Aide and help support children with special education needs in a warm and nurturing environment.
Location: Hudson NY
Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30 AM 1:45 PM
Duration: Temporary position
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individual students in the classroom under the direction of the lead teacher
- Assist with implementing instructional activities and daily routines
- Help children with daily living skills (toileting eating dressing etc.)
- Maintain a safe supportive and engaging learning environment
- Collaborate with classroom staff and clinicians
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
- Provide supervision during recreational time and bus arrivals/departures
- Be flexible to assist in other classrooms as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (TASC) required
- At least 1 year of experience working with preschool-aged children in a special education setting
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications (trainings held on weekdays)
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally
- Willingness to assist across classrooms when needed
