Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - General Medicine in Houston AR
Join a dedicated team providing essential services to our nations Veterans. We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This role offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the community of Houston.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Conduct primarily interview-based exams with limited physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete necessary administrative work including addendums and medical opinions during appointed hours.
- Option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) depending on availability.
- Utilize your own office and facilities for conducting exams.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Family Medicine Internal Medicine Orthopedic Surgery or a related field.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in compensation and pension evaluations is a plus.
- Must own a laptop (non-Mac).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to gain certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Arkansas.
- AANP certification is required.
