Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine
Job Overview: Join a dedicated team providing essential care to our nations veterans through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This locum position offers the flexibility to work in your own office and caters to qualified General Medicine Providers. The role involves delivering non-treatment evaluations in a supportive environment focused on improving veterans health outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform interviews and physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Document all findings accurately including any necessary addendums and medical opinions.
- Complete exams on a PRN basis with options for either half-days (4 hours) or full-days (8 hours).
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding procedures.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Montana.
- AANP certification required.
- Proficiency in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in family medicine internal medicine or orthopedic surgery preferred.
- Must possess a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
- AANP certification.
- Eligibility to complete DMA training for certification.
