Job Description
Velocitor Solutions is a mobility solutions software development company and we have an 8000 square foot building that houses our Development and Project Services team Support Center Warehouse Gym and 2 Lounge Areas. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter who is dedicated and motivated to assist our facilities team by helping maintain our facilities.
We are looking for someone that is a jack of all trades that can address maintenance issues as needed such as fixing walls painting changing light bulbs and ballasts pressure washing etc. While this person will be geared more towards actual maintenance as opposed to janitorial when things are slow they will be expected to assist the janitorial crew as well where needed.
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage for example window door or wall repair
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce risk of future problems such as using a sealant on a flat roof
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped
- Resolve and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Pick up trash if seen on grounds
- Provide assistance wherever needed within the company regarding maintenance cleanup or after hour assistance
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team to cover responsibilities as needed
- Be available for potential emergency situations during hours as well as after hours
Desired shift we are looking to fill will be 2pm to 11pm Monday through Thursday and 9am - 6pm Friday to tend to issues that arise throughout the day. This may require you to come out briefly on the weekends from time to time or come super early in the morning or stay later than normal to handle certain items or issues that may come up.
Required Education & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position compensation is based on your experience
- Experience with painting residential and/or commercial
- Experience working with electrical components
- Plumbing knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with basic carpentry tools
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Have a valid Drivers license and clean driving record
Working conditions:
- This role is an in-office position
- Limited travel may be required for equipment and supplies
