Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Modelling of field instruments such as flow pressure temperature level and F&G equipment. For the same interpret P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and ensure design consistency.
  • Modelling of cableways e.g. cable tray ducts conduits.
  • Work closely with process electrical piping and instrument engineers to integrate instrumentation into plant design.
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct 3D model reviews with clients.
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) for procurement and construction
  • Prepare instrumentation design deliverables including:
    • Instrument location layouts - field
    • Fire & Gas (F&G) equipment location layouts - field
    • Instrument rack room/ control room layouts
    • Hook-up drawings
    • Cable routing layouts
    • Installation typical process hook-ups
  • Support construction teams with technical clarifications and field modifications.

Software skills

Proficiency in following software as minimum:

  • Intergraph S3D
  • Model review software Smart Review
  • AutoCAD/ BricksCAD

Other skills

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines and commitment to quality.
