Location: Village on the Park McKinney an Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community
Pay Rate: $17.00-$19.00/hr.
Shifts Available:7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
PRN all shifts
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help residents with activities of daily living such as bathing dressing grooming toileting transferring and dining while encouraging independence and respect.
- Serve meals in the dining room or residents apartments assist in meal preparation and promote proper nutrition and hydration respecting residents right to free choice.
- Participate in and initiate leisure activities encouraging residents to socialize and form friendships.
- Maintain accurate and timely records documenting leisure activities incidents observations and changes in residents conditions.
- Ensure a clean safe and orderly environment by performing general housekeeping duties.
- Follow proper procedures during emergencies and respond promptly to resident requests for assistance.
- Keep track of residents locations remind them to sign out when leaving and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
- Promote teamwork through positive interactions with co-workers.
- Maintain high standards of appearance cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Attend all required in-service training sessions.
- Be an active member of the communitys emergency response team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Current CNA certification.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Current CPR certification.
- 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience preferably with seniors.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills good judgment and attention to detail.
- Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
