Senior Process Design Engineer - Water & Wastewater Treatment

Role description:

Our UK Resilience Water team are looking for experienced Senior Process Engineers to grow our Design & Engineering Engineering youll create some of the worlds most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide Optioneering Outline and Detailed design inputs for Frameworks across UK Water Companies alongside major large scale Design & Build projects with our Contractor Partners covering diverse and technically demanding and stimulating projects in treatment process engineering.

Role accountabilities:

This exciting and challenging role represents a significant opportunity for the right person to showcase their Technical experience and skills to get involved with the south of the UKs future water and environmental improvement schemes and to join the growing Arcadis UK Water Design & Engineering team.

• Liaison with clients to understand their specific requirements
• Preparation of outline & detailed designs drawings and associated other Construction- Ready documentation
• Inputs to the development of Feasibility level design and Optioneering assessments
• Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations reports drawings and other deliverables including outline & detailed designs drawings and associated other Construction- Ready documentation
• Liaison with contractors the supply chain and other project stakeholders.
• Develop the basis of design undertake calculations and other process deliverable.
• Liaise with other engineering disciplines
• Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and environmental and quality assurance procedures are followed.
• Mentoring and supporting the development of less experienced members of staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or suitable alternative qualification
• Chartered or working towards chartership membership of an appropriate Professional body (IChemE or CIWEM)
• Strong technical design experience on multi-disciplinary projects
• Sufficient and appropriate experience in process engineering preferably in regulated water but open to other relevant fields
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Water Industry Clients and Contractors
• Good motivation influencing and people management skills
• Knowledge and experience of BIM led design and other process specific digital tools
• Good working knowledge and understanding of the applicable British Standards UK Industry Codes of Practice and Water Specifications.
