Job Description
Job Title: Landscape Construction Laborers
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Construction Laborers to join our team. Successful candidates will assist in the construction and installation of landscaping projects including hardscapes softscapes and site preparation. This is a physically demanding outdoor position that requires stamina attention to detail and a willingness to work in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of patios retaining walls walkways fences decks and other hardscape features
- Grade and prepare soil for planting sod installation or seeding
- Operate small machinery and hand tools such as shovels rakes wheelbarrows and compactors
- Load and unload materials including soil stone mulch and construction supplies
- Follow site plans and instructions from supervisors or landscape designers
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Support irrigation and drainage system installation
- Lay sod plant trees/shrubs and perform basic landscaping tasks as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in landscaping or construction preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding labor
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to take direction and work well in a team
- Valid drivers license is a plus
- Punctual dependable and safety-conscious
Work Environment:
- Outdoor construction sites
- Exposure to weather elements (sun rain cold heat)
- Use of power tools and heavy equipment (training provided if needed); experience preferred
