The Nursing Department of Saint Josephs College of Maine is seeking full time Lead Clinical Faculty. The successful candidate will teach clinicals in the hybrid ABSN nursing program. This position is for clinical rotations in Massachusetts. This is not an online position.
Responsibilities will include in person clinical teaching oversight of adjunct clinical faculty teaching in the same clinical course participation in 2 out of the 4 on campus immersions per year remediation of students in the clinical setting and working with the ABSN Program Director on clinical concerns. This is a 12 month full time position.
The successful candidate will have at least a MSN five years of nursing experience and one to two years experience in nursing education programs or precepting nursing students or new employees. Massachusetts RN license is required. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in undergraduate BSN programs.
Candidates must also have excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; engage in student centered learning practices; be able to work with teams and creatively problem solve; and be willing to support the mission and core values of Saint Josephs College.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MSN
Minimum 5 years clinical experience in an acute care setting with medical surgical experience
Unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts
Demonstrates an appreciation for the needs of the novice student nurse
Excellent communication skills
Positive attitude
Flexibility
Experience precepting or orienting staff nurses OR
Experience supervising nursing students in the clinical setting
