The WMFS Operational Training and Development Function are pleased to invite applications from high performing competent Firefighters or in development Crew Commanders to join our Breathing Apparatus (BA) Training Team.
This is an exciting and challenging role that requires the highest levels of commitment and motivation. WMFS prides itself on the realistic BA training it provides to our firefighters and we are always seeking new and innovative methods to support training and development.
Having valid BAi FBTi & PPVi qualifications is preferable although consideration will be given to individuals that do not hold these on case-by-case basis but who can demonstrate a keen interest and good knowledge in this area and transferable skills.
This is a challenging role that requires the highest levels of commitment which involves delivering BA training and assessments to both our Trainees and Operational Firefighters in support of our recently introduced OTDM training model.
Please note that due to the nature of this role successful applicants will be expected to remain in this post for a minimum of two years.
The post requirements are for full time members of staff. Secondments will be considered for those holding the relevant qualifications.
