Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement current bargaining unit employees have priority consideration for this position if they apply within seven (7) days of the posting date. After this period all applicants will be considered equally.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with the NYS Nurse Practice Act hospital policies and the standards set by Nursing Services and the Nursing Practice Council. AHA-BLS certification is required however certification is not a qualifying factor to obtain the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
2. Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.
3. AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or a current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to date of renewal.
4. Previous experience preferred.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to work with other healthcare team members.
7. Meets requirements of physical/pre-placement screening.
