Brookfield Place is home to BHP Iron Ores state-of-the-art Integrated Operations (IOPS) team at Iron Ore. Our Control Centre operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week using advanced real-time technology to enable visibility and control across the entire Iron Ore supply chain.
As a technology enabled centre of excellence employees work collaboratively with site on a shift-to-shift basis to make faster decisions improving safety and optimising value across the supply chain.

This position is offered on our Lifestyle Roster working dayshift only.
Reporting to the Mine Control Central Training Supervisor you will be responsible for implementing training plans and resource material to ensure a high level of confidence and capability is maintained and to ensure all candidates are trained and assessed fairly. You will provide training in the FrontRunner Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) for the team members dedicated to AH. Your team will be the single source of information for all training content including creation delivery and review. You will also be responsible for training the control team on how to safely execute the daily operations plan while optimising the utilisation of the Autonomous Truck Fleet. This includes ensuring compliance with the schedule and operating philosophies while fostering a culture that not only meets company safety standards but also continually improves operational efficiency and drives costs benefits.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
Design development review and facilitation of training content and training plans for IPRO Controllers AHS to ensure a high level of proficiency is maintained
Ensure procedures are current and training is aligned to Statutory and WAIO operating procedures including the RACI
Monitor shift skills balance and coordinate training for Controller AHS employees to meet their role requirements
Ensure training is optimised across the business and engagement with other Fleet Management System (FMS) users to ensure all personnel using the system are trained correctly in accordance with the Autonomous FMS
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across a range of teams
High level of computer literacy and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Understand learning foundations frameworks and the integration of these into the design of training programs to facilitate best practice learning experiences for participants
Ability to guide change and find new ways of adding value
An ability to train and coach learners with varying levels of experience;
A strong commitment to continuous improvement with a focus on improving training materials and delivery methodologies to improve the experience and efficiency of the training approach
Experienced in the FrontRunner System (Central Mine Control) Level 1 and 2 Competency
