Job Description
Albany Community School Brownington Central School and Glover Community School is seeking a positive and student centered coach to lead our middle school soccer team for the 2025 season. We are seeking an inspiring person who has a calm and positive tone of voice a person with adequate expertise to guide our students to develop soccer and teamwork skills and the ability to communicate calmly and positively with students and community members. We believe in the ability of every student to learn new skills and to make growth from their unique starting point. We encourage good sportsmanship through friendly district wide opportunities to compete in soccer games in addition to regular practice sessions. The soccer coach will be responsible for organizing regular practice sessions participating in games across the district and with hiring refs when needed. Please review the job requirements below for more applicants must submit a letter of interest three letters of recommendation and a resume. Hired coaches must go through a background check. Coaches must do mandatory trainings. Coaches schedule refs for all home games. Then they inform the administrative assistant of who refereed which games. Coaches are responsible for handing out uniforms and for collecting them at the end of the season. Coaches must follow any school policies procedures and expectations. At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred High School/Trade School degree preferred Citizenship residency or work visa requiredThis is a stipend position and practices will start immediately at the end of the school day around 3:00 PM. The Orleans Central Supervisory Union is comprised of two school districts (Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School and Lake Region Union High School) supporting six K-8 elementary schools the Orleans Central Early Childhood Program and Lake Region Union High Central Supervisory Union is located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom which is known for scenic and rugged area of hills sugarbushes farmland and lakes. While our communities are small they are truly that a community that people are proud to be a part of. While we are rural scenic drives will land you at Burke Mountain Craftsbury Outdoor Center and Jay Peak for skiing opportunities mountain biking at Kingdom Trails fishing at the local lakes and other outdoor activities.
