Job Description

Overview

Sign on Bonus: $7500 (external new hires)

Shift Details: Full time M-F Days; Exempt

We are seeking a Licensed Social Worker or Mental Health Therapist who is passionate about trauma-informed care and committed to supporting children and adolescents through expert evaluation diagnosis and treatment.

In this role you will be responsible for completing psychosocial assessments leading one on one and group therapy within a behavioral health space in accordance with evidence-based practices. Assesses patient needs based upon a face-to-face clinical interview case history review and information obtained from collateral sources such as family members the referent or other parties. Recognizes signs/symptoms associated with risk of harm to self and/or others and implements appropriate interventions as necessary. Develops and implements an appropriate treatment plan of care for the patient based upon relevant clinical information and diagnosis. Consults with family members or professionals from other agencies/organizations as necessary in developing optimal treatment services.

Responsibilities

Evaluations Diagnosis and Treatment

  • Conduct psychosocial and diagnostic assessments
  • Diagnose using current DSM criteria
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy (individual couples family group crisis)
  • Refer patients to additional services as needed
  • Utilize evidence-based practices
  • Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate care
  • May complete court commitment reports

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Participate in trainings meetings and huddles
  • Maintain responsive communication with patients
  • May supervise provisionally licensed clinicians or practicum students

Documentation and Administration

  • Maintain licensure and billing eligibility
  • Document services accurately and timely
  • Meet productivity standards

Qualifications

Education:

Master of Science Degree in Social Work Professional Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy with a clinical/mental health concentration from an accredited school.

Experience:

2 years post graduate experience working with a sites clientele (Example: if this job is a pediatric site of care experience with pediatrics is preferred.)

License/Certificduate degree.

Preferred 1 year of experience working with a sites clientele (Example: if this job is a pediatric site of care experience with pediatrics is preferred.)

License/Certification:

Iowa: LISW (preferred) or LMHC

May be required to obtain BLS within six months of hire for certain sites.

Other:

Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
