Job Description
Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Tampa/Clearwater-Florida
work module: Onsite
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 15 years of electrical engineering experience with specific expertise in medium and low voltage systems electrical design and compliance with NEC standards. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support electrical engineering design for water/wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure
- Design and specify medium voltage systems (4160 VAC) and low voltage systems (480 VAC and below)
- Develop and review:
- Single-line diagrams
- Conduit layouts and fill calculations
- Cable tray designs
- Duct bank designs
- Perform and oversee arc flash studies
- Design and specify variable frequency drives (VFDs) generators and switchgear systems
- Prepare and review technical specifications and master planning documents
- Ensure compliance with the latest NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and applicable local regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality cost-effective solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing
