Description

Location: Greater Akron area
Travel: Local and regional travel within assigned territory occasional overnight stays

As a Biomedical Field Service Engineer at ASP youll provide high-quality customer service solutions. This includes installing validating maintaining and repairing ASP systems as well as supporting lifecycle management activities. Youll partner with sales and clinical education teams to deliver impactful business solutions while enhancing customer satisfaction. What Youll Do

  • Install validate and maintain ASP systems in hospitals and clinical facilities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide expert guidance to hospital staff including biomedical engineers.
  • Own your assigned territory managing customer relationships service schedules and inventory.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to maximize system performance and uptime.
  • Document service activities accurately and timely including compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule including occasional weekends.
  • Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 80 lbs) and operate company vehicles safely for local and regional travel.
  • Collaborate with sales and clinical teams to support customer-focused solutions that drive satisfaction and loyalty.

Who You Are

Required:

  • 3 years of experience in a field service biomedical engineering or related technical role.
  • Associate degree in electronics biomedical engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and technical problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs (Word Excel) and familiarity with service management systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices
  • Knowledge of calibrated tools
  • Strong communication time management and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Able to lift 80 pounds to a height of 4 feet; operate company vehicle; sitting/driving for long periods of time; excessive standing bending and stooping
  • Some air travel for meetings training and regional service coverage as required

Preferred:

  • 4 years of experience in the medical device industry.
  • Microsoft A certification or equivalent hardware certification.
  • MCP certification or equivalent.
