Job Description
Role Overview: Solutions Architect - Data
We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect - Data to design and build scalable cloud architectures validate security measures and manage on-premises to cloud integrations. The role demands expertise in optimizing data solutions ensuring compliance with FinOps and TCO requirements and enhancing cybersecurity driving comprehensive data platform strategies across our enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build comprehensive solutions for data platforms ensuring scalability reliability and performance.
- Develop architecture blueprints for cloud migration projects focusing on AWS infrastructure and services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for data and cloud solutions.
- Define integration strategies for data platforms with existing systems and AWS cloud environments.
- Ensure alignment of solutions with security compliance and governance standards.
- Optimize cloud-based data workflows and migration processes for cost efficiency and minimal downtime.
- A critical thinker who has lead the implementation of AWS services for AWS network/VPC related services data ingestion data integration data processing data storage AI/ML stack GenAI services observability integration with the platform.
- Manage end-to-end cloud migration projects including planning execution and validation.
- Provide technical guidance on disaster recovery backup and high-availability strategies for AWS deployments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot solution performance proposing enhancements as needed.
- Document solution architectures migration plans and operational procedures.
- Mentor teams on AWS best practices and data platform design principles.
- Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot projects to validate proposed solutions. Able to provide the require ARR for AWS service detailed BOM & BOQ for costing submission and TCO projection on year basis.
- Should have detailed experience with implementing CI/CD for smooth delivery and deployment.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in solution architecture with a focus on data platforms and cloud environments.
- 7 years of expertise in designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures preferably on AWS.
- 5 years of experience in on-premises to cloud integration projects including data migration and validation.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in security validation FinOps optimization and TCO analysis for data solutions.
- Proven knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g. GDPR HIPAA SOC 2).
- Proficiency with modern data technologies (e.g. AWS S3 Redshift Glue EMR Snowflake Databricks).
- Strong skills in programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python Java SQL) for solution development.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation) and DevOps practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional TOGAF CISSP) preferred.

- Hands on experience leading large-scale global data or platform modernization project with AWS cloud service implementation.
- Ability to think strategically about business product and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across organizations.
- Ability to map the customer problem with right solution design should understand the on-premises hybrid or cloud solution and propose a comprehensive architecture.
- Demonstrated industry efficiency in the fields of database data warehousing or data sciences.
- Implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing enterprise environments.
- Customer facing well within the customer s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs best practices project management and risk mitigation.
- Desire and ability to interact with different levels of the organization from development to C-Level executives.
- Able to work with CCOE Cyber security and compliance team to validate the solution architecture and get the solution appoved as per customer guidelines.

Basic Qualifications 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures 8+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 8+ yrs experience in a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Architect role leading the discovery, design, and construction of full stack custom and commercial off the shelf applications. Experience architecting, designing, migrating workloads to the public cloud. Experience in a range of migration discovery, profiling, migration automation, and operations technologies and tools. Undergraduate degree or 7+ years of experience in software design, implementation, or consulting experience with distributed applications in lieu of no Bachelor s degree or equivalent military experience. Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed. Preferred Qualifications Multi-tier distributed architecture experience within IT consulting, IT operations, application development or support to include the following: experience migrating, architecting, operating on premises or cloud-based solutions, or experience transforming legacy IT solutions, and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies. 5+ years across Enterprise IT in multiple of the following areas: Infrastructure architecture; Database architecture; Networking; Zero downtime migrations, IT Security; Data Center Operations, Cloud operating models, Software design or development, Serverless architecture, Microservice architecture, full stack application design. 5+ Experience architecting highly available, resilient, fault tolerant systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal/vertical scaling and high availability. Previous experience leading data center or cloud migration projects. Understanding large IT budgets, complex vendor relationships, and working with diverse teams to justify cloud migrations. Depth in various migration techniques such as re-host, refactor, re-architect, re-platform, repurchase, etc.
