Job Description:
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop specialized expertise in property valuation and insurance claim documentation while directly contributing to clients financial recovery after disasters. You ll be responsible for meticulously researching and documenting personal property losses ensuring families and businesses receive fair compensation from their insurance companies. The work is both meaningful and intellectually engaging requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Responsibilities: - Research and analyze personal property inventories for insurance claims ranging from small residential losses (10 items) to major commercial disasters (200 items)
- Conduct thorough market research to determine accurate replacement costs for damaged or destroyed items across diverse categories
- Create comprehensive documentation with detailed pricing sources and hyperlinks to support valuation decisions
- Organize and correlate inventory items with corresponding photographs stored in cloud-based systems
- Maintain precise Google Sheets and Excel spreadsheets with complete item details including descriptions quantities brands pricing and image references
- Provide rapid response support for urgent claims as they arise helping clients move quickly through the insurance process
- Support additional administrative functions during quieter periods to ensure consistent workflow
- Create personal property lists directly from photographs provided
- Compare insurance company estimates with internal valuations to identify discrepancies ( differences process )
- Assist with additional claims-related tasks as directed
Requirements
