About Company: Our client is a retail chain startup for basic groceries with strong financial resources which is going to change the retail market in Nigeria. The Company s values are honesty reliability and responsibility.
The Company is seeking to hire an experienced Area Manager to oversee the company s day-to-day operations in its designated territory or region overseeing budgeting quality P&L statements hiring and training.
The Area Manager will also perform duties that include setting financial goals establishing sales targets working with upper management and using various business finance principles Strategy and Execution to drive the growth of sales in the company.
Job Objective: The Area Manager will be saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that there is a clear plan in place that enables the adoption and growth of revenue for the stores within the designated territory or region. This role will work closely with the Sales and Store Team to create and achieve the highest possible productivity.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Sales Manager Store Managers and staff to achieve better results and be more successful.
Maximize the sales of the stores.
Setting financial goals and sales targets
Ensure that the stores general and daily operations are conducted according to the company s rules and regulations.
Take all steps necessary to have excellent store employees.
Ensure the lowest possible costs for all operations and procedures.
Working in cooperation with all other departments in order to let the company achieve better results and be more successful.
Achieve the highest possible productivity.
Analyze data daily to spot trends/opportunities and act upon them.
Provide regular updates to team members and management.
Regularly review stores and ensure documentation is followed.
Work with the product team to ensure strong coverage and reach of products.
5 years cognate experience in retail management operations sales and P&L.
/ in any related field from a reputable university
Strong supervisory interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Ability to reason and make decisions especially in trying circumstances.
Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills
Must be analytical and comfortable reviewing data. Proficiency in Excel required
Must be motivated organized and determined
Must be results-driven commercially aware and have problem-solving abilities
Must be able to juggle multiple tasks can work with a plan and work in a fast-paced environment
Sound management communication and negotiation skills;

Good organizational skills
