Job Description

Ready to lead strategic gas commercialization and drive power sector opportunities in Nigerias dynamic energy market

Were partnering with a leading oil & gas company seeking a Senior Manager Upstream Gas Power & Technical Planning to generate and develop commercially viable opportunities for Gas and Power business while creating innovative offtake solutions for equity gas and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs). What Youll Do

Strategic Gas Commercialization & Business Development

  • Develop comprehensive strategies for commercializing equity gas assets including financing solutions and market positioning
  • Devise optimal processing options for wet gas and associated Natural Gas Liquids offtake opportunities
  • Provide expert advice and strategic contribution to new business initiatives across Gas & Power portfolio
  • Develop heads of agreement and memoranda of understanding with counterparties to align future Gas & Power business opportunities

Financial Analysis & Investment Planning

  • Undertake detailed financial and commercial evaluations including comprehensive investment analysis
  • Prepare and assess investment alternatives with focus on optimal returns and risk management
  • Perform quality control of economic and financial models to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Conduct market analyses of gas power and Natural Gas Liquids business in Nigeria and regional markets of interest

Project Management & Technical Planning Excellence

  • Manage well delivery programs and track progress closely with change control management oversight
  • Monitor milestone achievement and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management across multiple projects
  • Identify required changes and improvements on Project Plans and ensure implementation as directed
  • Challenge and improve current planning practices through continuous improvement and best practice techniques

Stakeholder Management & Strategic Implementation

  • Manage and develop excellent relationships with government officials partners and key stakeholders
  • Ensure robust external stakeholders engagement plans are developed and maintained
  • Provide analytical support for company strategy development and implementation including corporate-wide presentation materials
  • Communicate business issues opportunities commercial risks and liabilities to senior leadership

Requirements

Who You Are

  • Bachelors degree in Science Engineering Economics Business or Finance from a reputable institution
  • 10 years of work experience in Upstream or Midstream petroleum industry Investment Banking Management Consulting or Legal sectors
  • Strong experience specifically within the Gas & Power sector in Nigeria
  • Proven business development experience in Nigeria with demonstrated commercial success

What You Bring

  • MBA or Masters degree in Subsurface/Petroleum Engineering or related discipline is a significant advantage
  • Comprehensive petroleum economics expertise with financial modeling capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerias gas and power industry dynamics and regulatory environment
  • Excellent commercial and business development skills with proven track record
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills for high-level stakeholder engagement
  • Expertise in business analysis project planning and financial analysis & economics modeling
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Networking and stakeholder relationship management expertise with government and industry leaders
  • Demonstrated managerial skills with team leadership and motivation abilities
