Novotel Liverpool City Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team on a casual zero-hour contract. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment supporting the preparation and delivery of high-quality food across our restaurant bar and event spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items to Novotel and brand standards.
Maintain high levels of hygiene cleanliness and food safety in all kitchen areas.
Follow daily tasks and prep lists as directed by senior chefs.
Ensure correct stock rotation and minimal food wastage.
Support in receiving and storing deliveries appropriately.
Work flexibly across different kitchen stations as required.
Adhere to all health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
Respond positively to guest feedback and maintain excellent service standards.
Skills and Experience:
Previous kitchen experience in a similar role or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential).
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
Ability to work well under pressure and follow instructions.
A team player with a positive can-do attitude.
Flexible availability including evenings weekends and public holidays.
