Job Description
Introduction
Location: Marlboro
Salary: R40000 R60000 per month (negotiable contract or permanent)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Mid-Level Odoo Application Consultant to join our team. You will act as the bridge between business users and our technical development team ensuring smooth end-to-end Odoo ERP implementations. Your focus will be on understanding business processes gathering requirements configuring Odoo modules and delivering solutions that drive customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct discovery sessions with clients to understand their processes and gather requirements.
Translate business needs into functional specifications and Odoo configurations.
Configure standard and custom Odoo modules across areas such as Case Management Workflow Sales Purchasing Inventory Accounting CRM and Manufacturing.
Customize workflows approval chains and business rules using configuration tools.
Participate in solution design workshops create documentation and deliver user manuals.
Support data migration testing UAT and go-live activities.
Deliver client training and provide post-implementation support.
Collaborate with developers on customisations and validate delivered functionality.
Keep up to date with Odoo updates and contribute to best practices internally.
Requirements:
24 years experience as an Odoo Consultant or in ERP implementation roles.
Strong knowledge of Odoo functional modules.
Proven experience gathering requirements preparing functional specs and delivering ERP solutions.
Ability to configure workflows approval routes and module parameters.
Solid understanding of business processes in one or more industries (manufacturing distribution services).
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Advantageous:
Experience with Odoo Studio or low-code configuration tools.
Basic knowledge of XML or Python.
Familiarity with South African VAT payroll or regulatory requirements.
Odoo functional certifications.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems Engineering or a related field (preferred).
