- Prepare install calibrate and maintain crash test dummies (e.g. Hybrid III THOR WorldSID Q-dummies).
- Set up sensors transducers and data acquisition systems for safety testing.
- Conduct vehicle and component crash tests including frontal side rear impact and sled tests.
- Collect validate and analyze dummy data to evaluate injury criteria (e.g. HIC chest deflection femur loads).
- Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation and test setups before and after tests.
- Document test setups procedures and results according to regulatory and internal standards.
- Ensure all test activities comply with relevant safety and quality standards (e.g. NCAP FMVSS UNECE).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret test results and provide input for vehicle safety improvements.
- Maintain and manage dummy inventory calibration records and test equipment
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering Mechatronics or a related technical field.
- 1 3 years of experience in vehicle crash testing or related automotive safety testing roles.
- Familiarity with anthropomorphic test devices and injury biomechanics is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of crash testing methodologies and dummy instrumentation.
- Hands-on experience with test lab equipment sensors and data acquisition systems (e.g. DTS Kistler).
- Ability to work with tools and mechanical systems in a test lab environment.
- Experience with post-processing software (e.g. DIAdem nCode MATLAB) is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of occupant injury criteria and safety regulations (e.g. ECE R94 R95 US NCAP).
- Experience with sled test systems or crash simulation is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic testing environment.
