This position is located at Cabarrus Youth Development Center in Concord (Cabarrus County)
Position is required to be on call and available 24/7. Facilities are operated 24/7 weekends & holidays.
The Director position is responsible for the operations of a secured facility which includes a two-building juvenile detention facility with 62 total beds and a 96 bed youth development center.
The position will have responsibility for managing staff who will provide counseling and supervision to youth.
Job Duties Include:
**Must meet the hiring and training standards established by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
**Must have ability to obtain valid NC Drivers License.DPS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to theState Human Resources Actwith the most qualified individuals.
The Minimum Education and Experience (E&E) is REQUIRED to qualify for this position.All work history and education (including accurate dates of employment/attendance) must be documented on the application.
