Job Summary
Provide technical assistance to Exceptional Education/Student Services personnel in implementing the comprehensive programs for Exceptional Education and Student Services.
Essential Functions
1. Supervises and trains assigned staff and/or contractors conducts performance appraisals makes employment recommendations and coordinates caseloads.
2. Collaborates with the Budget Services and Purchasing departments on vendor contracts
and set/ups.
3. Reviews credentials and timesheets of vendor/agency personnel to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
4. Ensures that students in exceptional student education are afforded due process
rights as specified by district procedures. Provides structured case management to prevent/avert due process actions.
5. Assists with planning and coordinating Extended School Year Services.
6. Coordinate district wide professional development related to assistive technology.
the development of Related Services district policies and procedures in response to changes in Federal guidelines and/or State Board Rules.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five (5) years of professional experience.
Certifications & Licenses:One or more areas of Exceptional Education or certification in school social work or certification in school psychology. Educational Leadership preferred.
