Job Description
This role follows aDay shift schedule working from7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with designated days off on Friday Saturday and Sunday.
Receivers will ensure the accuracy viability and quantities of all products received into the facility. They are responsible for the completion of all receiving transactions record management and reporting any discrepancies and/ or failures to deliver goods in order to preclude disruptions to production or financial issues for billing processing.
Detailed Responsibilities
Receiving
- Sign for your tablet and ensure all tools needed are present.
- Ensure the purchase orders and inbound deliveries scheduled for the day are printed and prepare the receiving board as applicable.
- If using PIT follow safety requirements to ensure safe and functioning for use during shift
- Lock trailer in at dock Liaison with the carrier at delivery and enforce scheduling compliance based on warehouse dashboard and arrival.
- Receive BOL from the vendor and ensure that product being delivered from vendors meets the temperature requirements set forth by QA for the purchase order placed by procurement in description quality shelf life and quantity. If it does not report all discrepancies to procurement and warehouse leadership for permission to receive or reject as applicable.
- Navigate WMS to ensure each pallets information has been completed accurately as this populates all reports involving every item received
- Ensure all unique SKUs are palletized separately and label each pallet with appropriate license plate on bottom right corner per receiving SOPs and ensure assigned to correct storage room based on ingredient temperature requirements in items location for inventory. If not report to supervisor for follow up and determination of assignment and completion of slotting in admin.
- Receive in NetSuite as applicable
- Ensure discrepancies are reported per local receiving process using tools provided
- Complete review of all product expected but not received and inform receiving leadership and procurement teams to reschedule or close out purchase order
- Report all deliveries from outside carriers that are non-production items to ensure these are delivered to the intended recipient.
- Execute all vendor returns
Organize Warehouse
- Keep the docks clean organized and free of all debris
- Manage donation and resell product weekly
- Assist with weekly insert and recipe card transitions
- Fill out waste tracking form as needed and all WMS input requirements
- Assist with warehouse organization if receiving and all receiving tasks are completed
Support other Warehouse functions
- We are one team and it is expected that we assist with other warehouse functions as needed
General Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures throughout execution of all tasks. This includes but is not limited to performing pre-shift equipment checks for all equipment used and wearing required PPE. Safety first!
- Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility.
- Sign for all electronic equipment needed to perform your duties. Ensure these are signed back in upon completion of shift.
- When utilizing PIT ensure returned to charging area cleared of debris and plugged in for next shift
- Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs. Quality always!
- Be respectful of others. Team members are expected to carry themselves in a professional manner in all situations and at all times.
You are expected to be at work on time every day you are scheduled and work your required shift and complete all tasks assigned.

Home Chef offers the base salary range as posted below with the exact offer depending on factors such as geographic location experience skills and internal equity. While compensation is within the provided range it is not typical for offers to be made at the upper addition to base salary Home Chef provides a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare coverage 401k match and paid time off.
