Employment Technician

Position Description:

The Employee Services Technician is responsible for working with employees the Recruitment and Selection Team the Payroll Department and any/all departments to ensure the maintenance of employee records and files.

Reports To:

DirectorofPersonnelServices

Scope of Responsibility:

  • Onboardsnewhiresassignsemployeenumbersandprocessesstatisticalandpersonnelinformationonnew
  • Processesmutualconsentsforallemployment
  • Completes the on-boardingprocessforallnewhirestransfersand/or
  • Verifiesandupdatesallpreviousworkexperienceforemployeesincluding calculating experience
  • Processesresignationsandterminationsof
  • Assistswithmaintainingaccuratepersonnelrecordsand
  • Works with employees on pay-related
  • Processesnameandaddresschangesfor
  • Processesemployeetransfersandsalarychangesonall
  • Processesfederalandstatededuction
  • Processesany/allbudgetrelatedchangestoemployeesalaryinformation().
  • Computessalariesforall
  • Processeswrittenemploymentverificationsforloansresearchespersonnelfoldersforverificationofexperienceonformer
  • Processesinformationonoverpayandyearsofexperienceandmakes
  • ActsasaliaisonbetweenHumanResourcesUnitandPayrollDepartmentregardingproblemsinemployee
  • Assistsallemployeesrequiringpayandprocesseschangesinchoiceof
  • Processessalaryandstatisticalchangesforemployeesbeing
  • Providessalaryinformationforcontract
  • Processes Bereavement/Trauma Leave request on all
  • Processes fingerprinting for all candidates (teacher para substitute coach etc.).
  • Assists as backup for Human Resources reception desk.
  • Assists with scheduling/onboarding of substitutes coaches etc.
  • Verifies/audits social worker hours for Centerny.
  • Assists as backup for entering quick pays.
  • PerformsotherdutiesasassignedbytheDirectorofPersonnelServices or by the Executive Director of Personnel Services and/or the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Highdegreeofprofessionalismwiththeabilitytomanagemultiplecompetingprioritieswhileconsistentlydemonstratingsoundjudgmentanddisciplined

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Interpersonalrelationship
  • Advance in Microsoft Office Suite Google Sheets Business Plus.

Physical Involvement:

Sitting is required most of each work day. Must be able to operate office equipment. Standing walking reaching bending and lifting up to 30 pounds is sometimes required. Must possess mobility skills necessary to access a variety of work areas.
