Responsibilities:- Provide direct and consultative support to students requiring social work assistance.
- Work cooperatively with school personnel in the identification diagnosis and remediation of individual students with specialized needs.
- Advocate for social-emotional functioning support within the school environment.
- Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License School Social Worker (PK-12).
- Excellent communication skills with students teachers parents and SRT along with a willingness to ensure effective communication.
- Satisfactory special education social worker experience.
- Thorough knowledge of behavior management and group counseling techniques.
- Ability to provide social skills training to students.
- Demonstrated experience in providing parent education.
- Willingness to accept additional duties as assigned in accordance with Board policies and requirements.
