Job Description
Turner Industries Group is looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician for maintenance work in the Longview TX area.
- Must have maintenance experience and high voltage experience
- Minimum of three years industrial experience
- Tools provided by client
- Must be able to pass drug test / background check
The Electrician position plans layout installs and repairs wiring electrical fixtures and control equipment. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.
Functional Requirements:
Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials provides access for future maintenance and avoids unsightly hazardous and unreliable wiring consist with specifications and local electrical codes; prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or follows diagrams or blueprints insuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls ceilings and flooring; measures cuts bends threads assembles and installs electrical conduit; pulls wiring through conduit; splices wires; connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment; installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches relays and circuit breaker panels; connects power cables to equipment such as electric range or motor and installs grounding leads; tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components; observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments relocation or replacement; may repair faulty equipment or systems.
