Who We are Looking For:
We are currently seeking a Temporary Entry-level Software Developer to support our team for at least 6 months. This role involves a variety of tasks including performing application and database development support for new and existing data management projects.

This candidate will be joining a unique team within Woodard & Curran that performs custom application and database development support for new and existing data management projects. You will be working with a mix of experienced and early career developers and engineers in a highly valued area of expertise serving our water and environmental clients across the country. What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:

    • Develop custom web applications and other data management tools with oversight
    • Work with environmental data sets and geospatial data
    • Develop independent databases in MySQL or SQL Server to support application development tasks
    • Supports stand-alone database applications developed in Microsoft Excel or Access
    • Contribute to dashboard and presentation layer business logics
    • List of duties is not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Requirements

    • Entry-level position. No professional experience is necessary but internships or previous relevant experience is desirable
    • BS in Computer Science Computer Engineering Engineering Mathematics or similar with interest in environmental sustainability or water resources data management
    • Web-based application development using CSS/HTML Java Script PHP Python C# other object-oriented programming languages
    • Data base design and management using MySQL or SQL Server
    • Application integration with GIS tools including Google Maps or ArcGIS
$30 - $40 an hour
This positions anticipated pay range is provided below; final non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a % based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials are used to recognize and reflect the cost of labor differences between geographic markets.
**Temporary employees are eligible to participate in Woodard & Currans 401(k) program subject to the terms and conditions of the plan document. Woodard & Curran provides a discretionary 401(k) matching contribution each pay period an employee participates in the plan. Temporary employees are also eligible for ADA Leave and Military Leave under USERRA. Other benefits are not provided to temporary employees unless required by city state or federal law. If there is any discrepancy between this policy and the benefit plan documents the discrepancy is unintentional and rights will be determined in accordance with the plan documents.
