Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to API testing or basic automation (e.g. Selenium) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of insurance regulations and compliance testing.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 to 5 years of manual testing experience preferably in insurance or financial services.
- Experience testing policy administration systems such as Guidewire Duck Creek Majesco Life/Asia or similar platforms (hands-on experience with any is a plus).
- Understanding of insurance policy workflows such as issuance endorsements renewals cancellations and reinstatements.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with test case management and defect tracking tools.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
- Strong analytical thinking attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and analyse business requirements and functional specifications related to insurance policy administration.
- Create maintain and execute manual test cases for various policy-related processes including new business policy changes renewals cancellations and claims.
- Validate policy rules rating logic and premium calculations through thorough testing.
- Perform functional integration regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
- Log track and retest defects using tools like JIRA HP ALM or Bugzilla.
- Work collaboratively with developers business analysts and other QA team members to ensure complete test coverage.
- Document test results maintain test evidence and support the QA reporting process.
- Participate in Agile or Waterfall development cycles as applicable.
- Assist in preparing test data and configuring test environments.
