Responsibilities
Located on the Community Regional campus Burnett Extended Care Center is our brand-new 154-bed transitional care facility. Purpose-built to serve patients transitioning from hospital to home Burnett features specialized rehabilitation spaces dedicated gym spaces with the latest technology a complete simulated home-like environment and innovative therapy programs all designed to help patients regain independence and quality of life in a post-acute setting.
- Perform occupational therapy examinations evaluations and treatments to support functional recovery and patient independence through evidence-based research.
- Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences discharge planning and the coordination of patient care.
- Provide developmentally and culturally appropriate education to meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants rehab therapy aides and student clinical education experiences to support team development and clinical excellence.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy required
- 2 years of experience
Licenses and Certifications
- OT- State of California Occupational Therapist License
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA)
