Centurion is proud to be a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities state hospitals and community mental health centers nationwide.

We are currently seeking afull-time Electronic Health Records (EHR) Specialistto join our team inSpringfield Illinois. Salary starting at $80000 depending on years of experience.

The EHR (Electronic Health Record) Specialist is responsible for implementing maintaining and supporting the organizations electronic health record system. This role works closely with clinical administrative and IT teams to ensure the EHR is optimized for accurate documentation compliance and efficient workflow. The EHR Specialist serves as a subject matter expert trainer and problem-solver to support end users and ensure system functionality meets organizational needs.

  • Support the setup configuration and customization of the EHR system
  • Monitor system performance and coordinate with IT to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
  • Assist with upgrades patches and new feature rollouts
  • Provide help desk support for EHR-related issues including troubleshooting and escalation
  • Develop and deliver training materials manuals and sessions for new and existing users
  • Conduct workflow assessments to identify areas for process improvement
  • Serve as a resource for best practices in documentation and EHR use
  • Ensure accuracy integrity and security of health records
  • Create and run reports to support clinical and operational needs
  • Assist in data migration audits and quality assurance checks
  • Work closely with clinical leadership to align EHR functionality with patient care goals
  • Partner with IT and compliance teams to maintain system integrity and security
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to gather feedback and plan improvements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support system optimization and organizational goals

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Health Information Management Healthcare Administration IT or related field (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience working with EHR systems in a healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulations
  • Experience with Fusion is required
  • Excellent communication training and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
