Position Summary:
Oversees the management of the North American HRIS team and the support analysis reporting design and implementation of systems that comprise Gordon Food Services HR information system portfolio including systems supporting core employee data recruitment performance management succession planning learning management compensation benefits HR process automation analytics and employee self-service. Works closely with HR leadership and IS support teams to develop and drive HR information delivery and analysis strategy based on business need using dashboards and other report delivery methods.
Essential Functions:
Builds and maintains a strong functional HRIS team through effective recruiting training coaching team building and succession planning. Assesses each team members skills and the skill levels necessary to achieve HRIS work objectives and works with team members to prepare development plans.
Proactively researches and recommends new or modified Human Resource information systems (HRIS) and processes in support of human resource administration and projects.
Manages and coordinates system changes rollouts and training across divisions including the identification creation distribution and ongoing management of communication training education and skills development.
Creates and manages dashboards and other information delivery services for internal customers. Trains customers in report receipt use and analysis.
Partners with HR leadership including Talent Management and IS areas to help create short and long-term information management plans.
Manages HR systems security by determining and approving appropriate data security based on user role.
Functions as the central point of contact for HR reports and act as a liaison between Human Resources Information Systems (IS) and Finance in relation to data accuracy and reporting consistency.
Interviews hires trains and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff initiates follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors motivates and develops staff. Serves as a role model.
Provides vision and leadership to direct reports. Responsible for helping develop skills and abilities of employees.
Manages department budget.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Knowledge of human resource processes operations and employment laws and regulations
Skill in working as part of a team; collaborating with colleagues.
Ability to analyze complex technical data and identify relevant concerns and solutions accuracy and comparison of records.
Critical thinking skills - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
Excellent written verbal organizational and communication skills
Project management and change management skills and the ability to deliver accurate information against tight deadlines.
Ability to lead develop train and manage others toward common goals.

Organization and time management skills.
Knowledge of current industry trends.
Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.
