Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Type: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire
Reports To: Controls Coordinator
The Electrical Maintenance Technician provides technical support for both software and hardware related to automation in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and improving electrical hydraulic and mechanical systems ensuring maximum equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Participate in the design development procurement and launch of automation and automated equipment.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives for equipment controls including modifications upgrades and troubleshooting.
Support production operations by performing maintenance and repairs on electrical hydraulic and mechanical systems including 3-axis CNC mills conveyors automation equipment and robots.
Apply effective troubleshooting techniques to analyze and resolve plant equipment issues.
Work from mechanical/electrical drawings equipment specifications and schematics to complete tasks.
Research and source parts as needed for repairs and upgrades.
Perform preventive predictive and routine inspection maintenance in accordance with work orders.
Read and interpret safety rules operating/maintenance instructions quality documents blueprints and electrical prints.
Complete charts logs and documentation to communicate status and findings to the team.
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment in compliance with company procedures rules and regulations.
ISO9001 IATF16949 and ISO14001 awareness.
Strong listening and communication skills.
Experience with Agile PLM systems and computer applications.
Electrical engineering fundamentals and applied problem-solving skills.
Health & safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures.
Ability to make intuitive decisions and apply practical thinking.
Focus on achieving project goals and deadlines.
Must Have:
Associate or Bachelors degree in Automated Manufacturing Electronics Computer Science Mechanical Engineering Tool Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience in these fields.
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing process controls.
Working knowledge of hardware and operating computer systems.
Expertise in Allen Bradley and/or Fanuc controls.
