We maximize business value by establishing systems and practices for the design and management of equipment to optimize availability and its effective life through the prioritization of effective and efficient planned preventative and predictive maintenance.

Our Enterprise Maintenance Excellence function is part of the Operation Innovations (OI) Group. We focus on all aspects of the equipment life cycle from development maintaining as new and ultimate decommissioning. We engineer the extraordinary through rigorous application of technical excellence and enterprise-wide development deployment and execution of engineering strategy.

  • Lead select develop evaluate and motivate a highly talented diverse engineering team to ensure the efficient operation of the function

  • Lead the USA Maintenance Excellence team to deliver the goals and objectives for the USA region

  • Establish best practice standards and principles for equipment requirements and maintenance

  • Deploy Enterprise Maintenance Excellence road map as part of Medtronic Performance System (MPS) leveraging Total Performance Maintenance principles (TPM)

  • Provide technical expertise on equipment performance and reliability

  • Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime solving equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process based on zero loss and zero downtime mindset

  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing maintenance equipment teams and process engineering teams

  • Develop and deploy equipment and maintenance excellence applying root cause analysis and problem-solving skills across the Enterprise

  • Define and write preventative and predictive maintenance strategies

  • Partner with internal and external experts to maintain and strengthen relevant engineering and technical expertise

  • Grow and nurture cross site and cross functional relationships in a large multi-site matrixed organization

  • Lead and support team to understand and comply with company policies & procedures and external standards & guidance

  • Generate novel and unique solutions to both engineering and organizational challenges

Must Haves

  • Bachelors degree and 7 years of Equipment or Maintenance experience OR advance degree and 5years of experience

  • 5 years of Managerial experience

Nice to Have

  • Excellent team building communication facilitation and leadership skills

  • Experience in Total Performance Maintenance (TPM) applications

  • CMRP or CRL certification

  • Dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively at site level and on a global team

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$168800.00 - $253200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week: Health Dental and vision insuranceHealth Savings AccountHealthcare Flexible Spending AccountLife insurance Long-term disability leaveDependent daycare spending accountTuition assistance/reimbursement andSimple Steps (global well-being program).
