Job Description
Job Title: Cloud Specialist II
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum Experience:
At least five (5) years of experience in cloud computing platforms and technologies.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting Department of the Navy (DON) or Department of Defense (DoD) cloud migration efforts.
Hands-on experience with major cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages to support cloud deployment and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide functional expertise to analyze design and implement cloud-based solutions.
Assist in developing and executing cloud migration and application modernization strategies.
Collaborate with system/application owners and cloud brokers to analyze document and codify functional requirements and technical specifications in support of cloud development efforts.
Lead business case development to inform cloud migration decisions and implementation activities.
Ensure solutions meet security compliance and performance requirements in accordance with DoD and DON policies.
Certifications & Training:
None required. (Relevant cloud certifications preferred.)
Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required.
