• Ability to swim and demonstrate water competency
• Strong focus quick reflexes and a commitment to safety

• Must pass background examinations (included with training)

1. Maintains attentive position in the pool area at all times by walking and/or sitting while actively scanning the pool and pool area.
2. Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents or casualties makes rescues and administers first aid/CPR when necessary.
3. Provides assistance to students and teachers as needed.
4. Inspects pool area and lobby looking for possible maintenance cleanliness or damage problems and reports problems to management as appropriate.
5. Participates in required monthly in-services and staff trainings.
6. Constantly monitor pool activity to ensure the safety of all swimmers.
7. Respond quickly and effectively to all water-related emergencies and dry side first aid.
8. Assist with class transitions student check-in and deck organization.
9. Support instructors and staff with day-to-day swim school operations.
